Prof. Ali Al-Issa earned his B.Ed. in TEFL from the University of Bristol in the U.K., M.A. in TESOL from London University in the U.K., and Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the University of Queensland in Australia. He is currently a Full Professor of Critical Applied Linguistics at the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman. Prof. Al-Issa has published several articles, books, and book chapters, which entitled him to become the best cited Omani scholar since 2005. He currently serves as a member of review and editorial boards of numerous international journals. Prof. Al-Issa has also presented widely about ELT in Oman. He has been involved in planning, teaching, and researching English language teaching and teacher training and education in Oman for over 30 years. Prof. Al-Issa is a recipient of several local and international teaching and research awards and recognitions.
Anwar Mourssi received his M.A. in TESOL/TEFL from Birmingham University, U.K. in 2006, and his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from University of the West of England, Bristol, U.K. in 2013. His area of expertise is Second Language Acquisition. Professor Mourssi has been working in the GCC countries for more than 27 years. He has published a good number of international research papers and books. Currently, Professor Mourssi is a member of different editorial boards of some international ELT and Applied Linguistics Journals in Canada, Finland, Malaysia Norway, and the USA.
